The Italian tyre giant and sole supplier of the Formula 1 2013 season has announced the tyre nominations for final three races which will take place in Abu Dhabi, the United States, and Brazil respectively. For the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit on November 4th, the teams will use the P Zero White medium tyre and the P Zero Yellow soft tyre. For the much anticipated United States Grand Prix taking place in Austin Texas November 18th, Pirelli will bring the P Zero Silver hard and P Zero White medium tyre. Exactly the same nomination ““ hard and medium ““ will be used for the Brazilian Grand Prix on November 25th, the last race of the season. The Abu Dhabi race will take place in the late afternoon and evening, with falling temperatures. The Yas Marina Circuit encompasses a wide variety of speeds, the surface is relatively smooth and degradation is not excessive, making medium and soft the perfect choice. The US Grand Prix will take place on the Circuit of the Americas. This will be the first time an F1 race takes place on this brand new circuit. The simulation data established by Pirelli´s engineers over the summer indicates that the hard and medium tyres will be best-suited to the varying demands of this track. On a new circuit, a relatively conservative choice will make sure that all possibilities are covered. The Brazilian Grand Prix, taking place at the Interlagos Circuit is well known for being demanding on the tyres, with big elevation changes, high-speed corners and significant energy loadings going through the structure. For these reasons, the hard and medium tyres are also the best choice for the final race of the 2012 season. The next race will take place on October 28th at the Buddh International Circuit in India. Sebastian Vettel currently leads the Driver´s Championship with 215 points. Fernando Alonso trails with 209 points.
